PROMETHEUS CLOUDWATCH EXPORTER FREEWhile the commercial Sysdig Secure DevOps Platform provides support for most AWS services, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) and Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS), the free options are new to PromCat. Sysdig will continue to add more support for AWS to PromCat, which launched in March, with the goal of supporting the most popular AWS services by the end of the year. The goal is to help developers save time when connecting Prometheus monitoring for visibility across cloud infrastructure and AWS managed services. The support packages come with an exporter, documentation, dashboards, and alerts created by Sysdig. Solution: I had to open a port in the firewall on the host. Has anyone seen this error before or have any suggestions on how I might fix this?Įdit: My server is running on Ubuntu Server and my Docker version is 20.10.6. I tried increasing the scrape interval and timeout values, but this did not help. However, it seems Prometheus is not able to get the data from node_exporter an I am getting an Context Deadline Exceeded error when looking at the target status page. ![]() Since the node exporter port is only reachable on the host I am using as I saw this recommended a couple of places. I run up Prometheus with the docker-compose for the service as shown below and have made a configuration file where I have made a scape config for node exporter. I am getting sensor data when doing curl on the host (see screenshot below). Node exporter is configured and seems to be running fine. I am running Prometheus as a Docker container and have set up node_exporter directly on the host for scraping data to be made available for Prometheus on port 9100. I am trying to set up an instance of Prometheus for collecting host sensor data on my server. ![]()
